I was delighted to see such a fantastic turnout for my recent Apprenticeships Fair at Thirsk School, bringing together local employers, training providers and people of all ages looking to explore new career opportunities.
We had a brilliant range of organisations taking part, including Derwent Training, English Heritage, North York Moors National Park Authority, Slingsby Advanced Composites, Hambleton Equine Clinic and many more.
From engineering and manufacturing to farming, healthcare, heritage and the environment, it was great to see so many opportunities available right here in North Yorkshire.
A huge thank you to all the employers, organisations and everyone who came along, as well as Thirsk School for hosting us.
Following the success of the event, I'm now planning to bring my next Apprenticeships Fair to Bedale, helping even more local people connect with employers and explore opportunities on their doorstep.
More details to follow!
