Best Thirsk & Malton Pub 2026

I’m delighted to announce that the THIRSK AND MALTON Pub of the Year competition has returned for 2026, giving local residents the chance to champion their favourite community pub.

To launch this year’s competition, I visited one of my personal favourites, The White Horse Inn in Ampleforth.

This year’s finalists will also be judged by Sasha Lord, a highly respected entrepreneur and expert in the hospitality and night-time economy sector, helping to bring even greater recognition to our outstanding local pubs.

Our pubs are at the heart of communities across Thirsk and Malton. They bring people together, support local jobs, and give our towns and villages their unique character. But many are under real pressure from rising costs, Labour’s jobs tax through National Insurance increases, and continued pressure on household budgets.

That’s why supporting our local pubs matters more than ever. I’d encourage everyone across Thirsk and Malton to vote for their favourite local pub — competition is really strong this year, and every vote counts.

Residents can cast their vote now here.
