I’m hosting an Apprenticeship Fair at Thirsk School on Thursday 22 October, from 4.30pm–6.30pm, bringing together employers from across Thirsk and Malton and further afield.
There will be opportunities across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, technology, farming, IT, health and care, veterinary services, culture and youth work, with more employers still to be announced.
Apprenticeships offer a fantastic route into a rewarding career, combining practical experience with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. I want to make sure young people across our area know about the opportunities available to them and can speak directly to the businesses offering them.
As well as finding out about apprenticeships, attendees will be able to get practical advice from employers on CVs, applications and what they look for when recruiting.
The event is free, open to all ages and there is no need to register. Parents and carers are also very welcome.
