My Apprenticeship Fair Is Back – Thursday 22nd October, Thirsk
My annual Apprenticeship Fair is back for another year, and everyone is welcome.
Date: Thursday 22nd October 2026
Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Venue: Thirsk School Hall, YO7 1RZ
The fair will bring together employers from across the constituency and further afield. They cover a wide range of sectors, including engineering, food, farming technology, local government, manufacturing, IT and the care sector.
What you can do on the day
- Meet local employers face to face
- Get practical advice on what businesses look for in a CV and an application
- Find out what an apprenticeship route could offer you
Why apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships let you earn while you learn and build a career without the debt of university. There are more high-quality options available now than ever before. If you've ever wondered whether an apprenticeship might suit you or your child, this is the place to find out.
Who can come?
The fair is free, open to all ages and there's no need to register. Just turn up. Parents, guardians and carers are very welcome too.
Schools and colleges planning to bring a group are welcome to let my office know in advance, although it isn't required.
