I’m launching a Food Not Solar campaign because our best and most versatile farmland should be used to grow the food that feeds our families - not covered in panels. Allowing large solar farms on Grade 1-3a land risks food security and harms farming families like the Sturdys at Eden Farm in Old Malton. We can power Britain without sacrificing precious fields by focusing solar on rooftops, brownfield sites and reservoirs instead.
I’ll keep fighting for sensible energy policy that protects our farmland, supports farmers, and keeps our countryside thriving. 🌾🌞
