Great to visit York House Holiday Park in Balk as they prepare for what’s shaping up to be a record-breaking summer season.
I met with director Phil Brierley to hear how their award-winning parks are boosting local tourism, creating jobs and supporting the rural economy. It was also encouraging to see the success of Monk Park Farm, which welcomed over 73,000 visitors last year.
We also discussed the opportunities and challenges facing the sector and how my team and I can support on park home living, inheritance tax concerns and proposed tourism levies.
Parks like these are a vital part of North Yorkshire’s economy, and I’ll continue championing the small businesses and communities that make it thrive.
