Fighting to keep the North Yorkshire economy open

In the new Covid Alert Level system Ryedale, Hambleton and Scarborough, which includes Filey, is in the medium level which is the lowest category behind High and Very High. I am campaigning hard to ensure that any decisions about further restrictions are applied at super local ‘district’ level as opposed to countywide. This will help protect businesses and jobs in areas less impacted by the virus.

I do understand that for many constituents this is a hugely worrying and tough time and I want you to know that my door is always open if I can help in any way. I’d also like to thank each and every one of you for your part in helping to control the virus by making so many sacrifices during lockdown and for keeping to the guidelines which are designed to keep us all safe until a vaccine is available.

Although this year has been dominated by our fight against coronavirus this newsletter will update you on some of the other campaigns I have been involved in. I hold a monthly business call for local businesses, please email me at [email protected] to join the next call.
