The Ryedale show was a great day out for everyone today and I was glad the weather held out after the recent downpours. It was the 152nd show and every year it’s as good as the last. There’s a very high standard of entry in all areas including livestock and, of course, the very popular sheep dog trials. It’s a family day with plenty going on for youngsters which is, no doubt, welcome in the school holidays. The atmosphere, as always, was friendly and fun and it was a great opportunity to meet up with many friends and acquaintances. Well done to all those who won prizes and to the organisers for another very successful day.
