Making progress with Lambert Hospital

Over the last few weeks we seem to have made good progress to ensure that Lambert Hospital stays in community use. I am working very closely with Hambleton District Council, the Health Secretary and NHS Property Services and I very much hope that we will be able to resolve this matter in the not too distant future.

The former hospital, which is owned by NHS Property Services, is on Chapel Street and is in a prime location next to existing GP services. This is why it would be ideal for a mix of health and community use, which is what the people of Thirsk want. I intend to keep up the pressure to make sure it happens.
