Making sure healthcare in Easingwold meets the demands of a growing population was at the heart of discussions at a recent meeting at Millfield Surgery between GPs and Kevin Hollinrake MP .
During his visit the MP for Thirsk and Malton was given a tour of the building, including the pharmacy service and spoke with Helena Tilley, Dispensing Manager.
The expansion of Easingwold and changes needed to meet the needs of both patients presently residing in the town and future residents are of concern to local healthcare providers. Mr Hollinrake said it was incredibly important that families could continue to get the quality care they needed as close to home as possible. He said he would continue to do whatever he was able to support medical professionals working in the community especially in light of the potential impact on services over the next few years as population numbers rise.
