Easingwold School

Kevin Hollinrake has met the interim Headmaster, Paul Brockwell, to discuss the immediate priorities for improvements to Easingwold School. They reviewed a list of action points for the next few months, which includes better teaching, particularly in mathematics, regular setting and marking of homework and plans to make the school infrastructure fit for purpose.

Mr. Hollinrake said, “I consider finding a solution for Easingwold School a top priority for 2017 and will continue to press ministers on the matter. I have a meeting with the minister responsible for academies, Lord Nash, on January 30th to seek a resolution and to make sure that the necessary funds are allocated to make the much needed improvements to the school buildings. In the meantime, we need to ensure that the interim arrangements are good. I believe that they are working well so far and have already led to some improvements. I have every confidence in the present Headmaster, Mr. Paul Brockwell'.

Mr. Hollinrake has pledged to do everything he can over the next few months to make sure that the right outcome for Easingwold School is achieved, so it becomes an excellent school once again.
