Thirsk and Malton MP spent a busy Saturday enjoying shopping for good reads and tasty treats on offer at several events being held in the constituency last weekend. Starting at the Ryedale Book Festival and the market in Malton before going to the Filey Food Festival, Kevin Hollinrake enjoyed the various activities and sampled some of the delicious wares being sold on the stalls. Leaving with bags of goodies and a pile of books, including several for his children, Mr. Hollinrake said he was delighted to see the markets so well attended,
“There is nothing quite like good Yorkshire hospitality and food. I always enjoy sampling the best grown, reared, roasted and baked produce from the constituency. We should celebrate the hard work and excellence of our growers, farmers, chefs and bakers. I was delighted to see so many local residents and tourists attending the events in Malton and Filey. I am sure they enjoyed their day as much as I did. There was a warm welcome from stall holders and thanks to the hard work of all those involved in putting on these festivals more people experience the friendly atmosphere, terrific tastes and talent of our county, I hope they will be back for a second helping. ”
