Mr Hollinrake is aware of the inconvenience and distress September’s swift closure of the Lambert Hospital caused local residents. He has written to South Tees Hospital Trust to ask what steps are being taken to reinstate services at the Lambert.

“Access to good health care is of unmeasurable importance. People living in my constituency have been shocked and rightly concerned about the temporary closure of the Lambert. I understand the growing impatience of local councillors and the community in receiving an answer to their questions. They need a precise reopening date and reassurance that any staffing issues are being addressed. “

Mr Hollinrake will me meeting Thirsk Town Councillor and District Councillor Janet Watson from the Action Group and a representative from the League of Friends of the Lambert on Friday 20th November to receive a letter from them outlining their ongoing concerns.
