Update for Helmsley Bondgate Dental Surgery

I know that people living in and around Hemsley are still concerned about the closure of Bondgate Dental Surgery. I am working closely with NHS England to ensure that a replacement is found as soon as possible. I am pleased to be able to tell you that the process of re-commissioning a new provider is to begin as soon as possible and a new service should be up and running by the end of October.

All dentists have to adhere to strict safety guidelines which means there has to be 1hr 20 minutes between appointments to complete the cleaning process. It is therefore likely that the new service will offer emergency treatment only and routine inspections will follow at a later date.

In the meantime if you need emergency dental treatment you should contact the NHS or try to find a private dentist who can add you to their list.
