I had a brilliant time recently at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, getting stuck in alongside the fantastic volunteers who keep it running.
From climbing onto the footplate of a locomotive to speaking with the teams who welcome thousands of visitors every year, it was a great reminder of the passion and hard work that power this heritage railway.
The NYMR isn’t just a wonderful day out - it’s a vital part of our local heritage and economy, and it thrives because of the dedication of its volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who makes it such a success.
I’ll keep doing everything I can to support the railway, so it can steam ahead for generations to come. 🚂
