The Farming in Protected Landscapes programme (FiPL) is marking its one-year anniversary this month. The North York Moors National Park and the Howardian Hills have both benefited from funding since the scheme began.

FiPL provides funding for farmers and other land managers to work in partnership with National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty bodies (AONBs) to deliver projects for climate, nature, people and place. The programme is part of the Government’s response to the Landscapes Review and recognises that our Protected Landscapes are special and unique, and they need to be protected while also supporting the farmers and communities who live and work within them.

The programme and its funding will run until the end of March 2024 and you can find out more here.
