Filey

๐Ÿ“ฃ A number of constituents in Filey have raised concerns with me about the availability of the Ravine Road public toilets, since they closed in November last year.

๐ŸŒŠ As Filey sees growing numbers of tourists visiting as the weather gets warmer, it's critical we have such facilities in place. I met recently with the Mayor, Jacqui Houlden-Banks and town council and have been pressing North Yorkshire Council for a resolution.

๐Ÿ”Œ Thankfully, I've had assurances that the power will be disconnected next week and the demolition of the existing block will commence shortly thereafter, with the concrete base then being put in before the modular unit is put in place and connected. The council feel there is no need now for temporary toilets as the toilets will be back in use by mid-June.

๐Ÿ‘‰ I'm hopeful things are now moving but as always, I will keep up the pressure.
