Kevin Holllinrake met Lord Nash, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools, to discuss the ongoing progress at Easingwold School. Lord Nash accepted that the process should have been handled better, that lessons have been learnt and a new process developed for future situations. The NYCC survey will be completed in February half term. This wlll be followed by negotiations on the required works. The school’s proposed sponsor, Outwood Grange, the Regional Schools Commissioner and the Local Authority will meet following the results of that survey, towards the end of February, and their conclusions made public before the end of March.

I will continue to work with all parties in the coming weeks, to ensure that we achieve the outcomes that the students and teachers Easingwold School deserve.
