Great to welcome Kemi Badenoch to Thirsk and Malton today to meet some of the incredible businesses driving our local economy.
I visited Twisted Automotive recently and was hugely impressed by what they've built here in Yorkshire. Their innovation, craftsmanship and global reputation make them a real local success story, so I was delighted to bring Kemi back to see their work first-hand.
From touring Twisted to sitting down with local business leaders, one message came through loud and clear: businesses want a Government that backs them, not burdens them.
Yorkshire is full of entrepreneurs, innovators and job creators with the talent to compete on the world stage. They deserve lower taxes, less red tape and cheaper energy—not more obstacles.
Labour's higher taxes and increasing regulation are making it harder to grow, invest and create jobs. Conservatives will always stand with the people who take risks, create opportunities and keep our local economy strong.
