Voluntary organisations, community groups, charities and social enterprises in the Scarborough Borough and Ryedale District are invited to a ‘Meet the Funder’ event on Friday 11th November.

The event offering local organisations the opportunity to talk face-to-face with national, regional and local funders, receive one-on-one advice and find out what grants are available. Representatives from Coast & Vale Community Action (CAVCA) and the Big Lottery Fund will be there to offer information and support.

The Evron Centre on John Street in Filey is hosting the fair between 11am and 3pm. It’s free of charge and appointments aren’t necessary – groups are encouraged to pop in on the day and refreshments will be provided. If groups are looking to apply to Reaching Communities, they are advised to let us know and we can arrange a one to one appointment with a BIG Lottery representative.

Kevin Hollinrake MP for Thirsk and Malton said, “This could make all the difference to new voluntary groups and organisations as they strive to get off the ground and to more established ones looking to expand and create new services, activities and job opportunities.” Mr Hollinrake will be attending the event in the morning.
