Kevin Hollinrake MP paid a visit to CEMEX UK, near Pickering, to inspect the new ‘bus style’ cabs of their trucks designed to keep the cyclist safe.

The cabs provide the driver with a far wider field of vision thanks to a panoramic windscreen which is at least 50% bigger than the standard windscreen and a floor to ceiling kerbside door. Mr Hollinrake said ‘I’m really impressed with the design. It should make all the difference as the driver will now be able to see the cyclist well in advance which will help save lives and prevent injury’.
