As you may be aware, I have been working closely with the parents of Claudia Lawrence, missing for 7 long years, and have secured Government support for a Ten Minute Rule Bill on Guardianship, which, if successful, will allow trusted family or friends the opportunity to manage the missing person’s financial affairs and avoid suffering unnecessary problems whilst their whereabouts is unknown. The first reading of the Bill is due to take place at 12:30 on Wednesday 11th December in the Chamber.
